Meet Reverend Ross
I’m Lorrie Thomas Ross, an Atlanta-based non-denominational wedding officiant who LOVES love. I consider it such a privilege and honor to collaborate with couples to create the perfect ceremony. I officiate weddings in Atlanta, Georgia and Serenbe, Georgia and I am happy to travel for destination weddings.
While most weddings I officiate are non-denominational, I can and do incorporate multi-religious and multi-faith components into wedding ceremonies.

Finding the Right Officiant
I’ll never forget my experience as a bride-to-be searching for the right officiant. I was so in love (and still am!) and excited about finding the perfect officiant to help us make our ceremony meaningful and personal.
We researched and booked calls and meetups with several officiants. Meeting after meeting, I felt so surprised that no one asked us questions about how we met, how we fell in love, what we loved or respected about each other, or what we wanted in a ceremony. Instead, we were given scripts and heavy price tags and told any edits would be an upcharge.
We didn’t want an officiant to treat us like a transaction, we were about to commemorate a relationship!
When you are in love, you need a wedding officiant who LOVES love!
Years later, I was having coffee with a dear friend as she was in the midst of planning her wedding. She shared a similar experience as she was trying to find the perfect wedding officiant and said that she preferred to have a warm, approachable female officiant and then said, “Someone like you…!” Her words stuck and I wondered, “Why not me?” I was an educator, a professional speaker and a marketing agency owner. Helping a couple commemorate their commitment with a custom, personal ceremony that told their story was something I’d love to do!
So I went home, figured out how to become an ordained minister, bought books, did research, worked with her to create the perfect ceremony and served as the officiant. It was such a delight. People kept coming up to me after the ceremony saying how great it was. One man, an ordained minister himself, asked me if I’d share the process I used to write the ceremony because he liked it so much! Months later, I was asked again to officiate for dear friends, and then my niece and her wife proposed to me (on one knee and everything!) to officiate their wedding. Since this is about you and YOUR wedding, I won’t go on and on, but the pattern continued - I kept getting asked and every single time my heart would burst with joy. I thoroughly enjoy every single detail in the wedding ceremony creation process and love helping couples craft personal ceremonies.
